Yup, those old pages were like an embarrassing high school photo. I’ve learned a lot about making comics and Aaron learned a lot about writing comics, so expect good things 🙂
If you want to get a look at what I did right before I started working on the new Dax #1 take a look at my personal project http://www.nightmaidencomic.com . I learned a ton working on that.
Dax is squinting with the wrong eye. Either he has never tried to shoot a rifle before (unlikely), his right eye is actually a glass eye (maybe), or this is a heavily photoshopped picture (likely).
You got us. Dax was originally checking the straightness of a pool cue and it was easier to photoshop a gun than to draw him all over again. They call him Minnesota Dax.
And there was much rejoicing

If this cover is any indication of what you did to the originals then I’m stocked to reread them all. Long way from solid color backgrounds.

Poor solid backgrounds, they just get no love.
I can’t wait to re-read, myself! I hope the jokes are still in there, though I’m sure they are! XD
The good ones are 🙂 along with some new ones. And welcome back! I’m thrilled to see returning readers 😀
