Lucky for Mange. That would have been embarassing if it did. Tox looks at wrist -“Ummmm, nope, nothing there.” then orders the tentacle monsters to crush them. Oops.
Of course, since they have fur, you can’t just dye the fur, it would grow out. They probably have to genentically alter the follicles to grow a different colored hair (they just call it “ink” out of habit). So that’s why it’s still there after rebirthing. These are important things you have to worry about when you’re a cat!
Then again it could go the other way and she becomes the ultimate asshole that’s darker and meaner than anything the universe can sustain. She’d be all claws, teeth and attitude throw in a pinch of catnip and the universe is doomed.
Either way, this looks like a traditional “she realizes the error of her ways and then sacrifices herself to save them” scenario. “Reformed Villain” has a really short life expectancy, usually.
Of course, they aren’t able to recover a body this time either, so…..
😉
(bonus points if one of them says “there’s no way she could have survived that!”)
Ah, so it wasn’t a Thermal Detonator. Even better, though, bonds of sisterhood and such. Totally works every time!
Can we assume this guy is Evil? Apparently Orange-speech-with-custom-melty-borders is even worse than regular Black Speech bubbles.
My money’s still on the Cats, though. Clearly they were just waiting for the *real* villain to appear before executing their Flawless Plan.
Yep. Now there’s a real Big Bad. Just show me where to shoot.
Guess the Rebirth 1000 doesn’t remove ink.

They were totally explosives, but Mange decided to try a different tactic for once.
Is this where Tox uses her cat girl sisterhood magic to manifest an oversized sword and half of a navy dress uniform? That would be purrrfect.
Aw man, where was this idea back when we were planning things?!
Purrrhaps you’re thinking of the Anime adaptation: “Magical Sailor Space Catgirls!”
or she casts off the taint of tentacles and becomes a glowing golden goddess of felineitde and love

And then the whole cycle starts again 😀
Hey, ugly! They’re trying to have a touching cat-girl sister reunion moment here! Do you freaking mind??
Tch. Some people.
So. Rude.
