I’m sure I’m not the only person out there who was introduced to the concept of “surviving outer space without a spacesuit for a few seconds” by 2001. Maybe you first learned about it somewhere else … regardless, the whole idea is pretty wild!

Yes on the 2001 reference, but it was also depicted very effectively in comics in a Space: 1999 story (of all things) written and drawn by John Byrne.
