I imagine that Dax would be all excited to stop off at the local Space Hooters Restaurant only to find when he arrives that it was staffed by a race of not-particularly-attractive Owl-People. That seems to be the sort of luck he has.

Ah, don’t let that stop you – all the best jokes (and most of the mediocre ones) have probably been done hundreds of times before. An interweb search could probably find some variation on that hooters joke in a dozen different places. Or spoofs of the Grinch story, for that matter. Doesn’t mean you can’t do it. I’ve probably read a half dozen different D&D/fantasygaming-spoof type strips, and they frequently all make fun of the same stuff, it’s still funny!

Aha, so I see. I’ve only ever seen a couple episodes of South Park. I’ve heard it’s funny, though. I guess add that to the list with that Christmas Story movie of references that’ll zoom right over my head. 🙁
