- A friend who got a sneak peek at this page told me that Space Kid‘s facial expressions at the bottom reminded her of me. Can’t say as I see that myself, but who knows how much of ourselves we put into our drawings without realizing?
- One thing I notice in this page is the tricks we use to identify the speaker of a dialogue balloon when we can’t see the speaker directly. Could be other evocative graphics, could be word choices in the dialogue itself… I just think it’s kinda interesting how the comics medium has developed these techniques to compensate for the fact that voices can’t be identified by their sound, like in movies.
