Lilith Dark started out with a series of self contained shorts that built up to a larger narrative over time, and this is the first of them. In my mind, Lilith Dark starts out a bit like Usagi Yojimbo, which also began as a series of self contained shorts. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m no Stan Sakai, but his work definitely had an impact on me. Oddly enough, I was first introduced to Usagi Yojimbo via the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon in the ’90s.
