I noticed something unexpected while I was drawing this page:
in that last panel, a sort of “family portrait” shot of the Starflame crew, I felt a kind of affectionate warmth as I was finalizing it. I’m actually developing a fondness for these characters, and a feeling that I know them as people — more than I ever expected to happen here, seeing as I started them off as pure stock cardboard characters.
Funny how that works…
