Sweet, I hadn’t realized Wreck-It Raccoon was out already. The previews looked awesome, but then again even movies that suck look good in the previews. That reminds me, never watch Skyline, ever. Complete waste of time. The whole film was more of a two hour special effects advertisement and it leaves you hanging.

Wow, that really does look like an effects bomb. I feel like for the most part, Hollywood just doesn’t understand what to do with scifi.

That’s where Star Wars stepped in, it mixes fantasy with Sci-Fi. A young man finds out he has the potential to become a space wizard and his dad is one of the most powerful space wizard/warriors to ever live. Mix in a bit of Japanese history a capable princess and blamo! Space fantasy. Now picture Star Wars set on an earth like planet with sailing ships and wyvern mounted archers firing red and green feathered arrows at eachother.

Hollywood would find a way to ruin it somehow. 🙁

Loan sharks? Nah, too cliched. Must be something more sinister than that.

Uh, yes… there’s a ton of depth and interesting stuff about these guys. Totally not loan sharks at all…

See, enough with all that treehugger nonsense, this is exactly why we need to drive certain species in to extinction right now. Sci-fi clearly demonstrates that there are certain types of animals: reptiles, especially snakes, and, as we see here, any type of shark or other predatory fish, that will 100% evolve into evil overlords, thuggish enforcers or other villians if we give them a chance to! Basically, if it’s cold-blooded and eats meat, it’s going to come back to haunt us if we don’t take the opportunity to make them extinct while we still can. I’m going to go dump some toxic waste in the ocean right now.

That was pretty much the message of Zootopia, right? Predators are always predators? My toddler only made it through the first 30 minutes, but I’m guessing it’s going to side with you on this.
