Fast Times at Arjnod High – 22 December 24, 2014 / by Aaron Balogh / in / 30 Comments Oooooo sinister!
Heh, I was right; Nat is an unruly student. So called it. 😀
Well, we can speculate, but how will we ever know for sure?!
I totally called her kidnappers being janitors with delusions of grandeur! No, wait, did you say janitors?! OK, never mind, I’m not even going to try to fake having called that one.
Nothing says “fail” like being kidnapped by the custodial engineers.
Even custodial engineers have lucky kidnapping days.
Kittens forgot Insidious Custodial Engineers, the adjective makes all the difference.
Oh yeah, gotta have that evil intent. That’s what separates them from your average, everyday custodial engineer.
That, and the Evil Laugh. They may just be custodial engineers now, but they have the laugh of a Diabolical Evil Mastermind. Mwa ha ha ha!
The laugh is really the most important part.
Smart students can easily get bored with the standard curriculum and start acting out just for some entertainment. Not sure what kind of promotion from Janitor that their going to get. Grounds keeper perhaps?
Phew, hard to imagine what that would be like in a school full of smart kids…
Yeah, I never got that when I was a kid: I was smart, I was bored out of my skull the entire time I was at school, and I never once thought “Hey, let me act up and get detention so I can stay here longer!” None of the other smart kids I ever knew acted up either, generally the ones that acted up were bright as a sack of rocks. Maybe I just went to a weird school?
It’s well-known that Einstein got detention everyday for acting out. The joke was on them though as he just wanted an excuse to stay at school longer and study advanced course texts that he couldn’t get access to during the school day.
Why is it called Arjnod /high/, if Nat is 11(Maybe 12 by now)? Is it one of those boarding schools that takes claim over both middle and high school grades?
Pretty much. Arjnod’s takes exceptional students at all ages, presumably a K-12 situation. Get ready for another short flashback that will explain all these things 😀
Also it’s another play on a 1980s movie title.
Nat’s at Arjnod’s Summer School for the Wicked now. The main branch is just known as Arjnod’s School for the Wicked. The ins and outs will be shown soon. As for the “High” in the chapter title that’s a reference to Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Ah, so the part of Phoebe Cates will be played by….Rabies? When’s the “pool scene”? 😀
Jess, this naked cat thing is getting a lot of traction….
Sigh….poor Rabies, she just wants to be known for her mind. 🙁
She does hold dual phds.
What, she can’t be both smart and sexy?
No one’s said she can’t be!
Coming soon: Naked Cat Girl with Phds in space! The only webcomic to feature naked cat girls doing a bunch of science!
Of course she can be both smart and sexy, it’s just that for some reason she seems to have a lot of difficulty getting people to pay attention to one of those two attributes. Maybe if she wore a lab coat and glasses? (That’s what they do on TV to tell the audience that the bikini model they hired to play the scientist role is really smart)
I’m not saying that I’ve ever seen such a tactic used on such a show such as Cleopatra 2525…. well, I’m also not saying that I’ve ever watched such a show as Cleopatra 2525….
Naked Cat Girls with Phds in Space!
My new favorite webcomic, and it hasn’t even started yet!
More and more traction Jess…
Sure, cuz I have time to draw a fourth comic 😛
If I watched that show, I would not say either, no matter how many times I watched it.
Cleopatra that is. Not N.C.G.w.PhD.i.S, which would be an awesome show.
No one ever watched it in the open. That was a sad guilt watcher there.
